CHRISTMAS PITCH-IN DINNER

We had approximately 100 residents and guests in attendance for our annual Christmas Dinner.  Thanks to the Men’s Club for providing the pork roasts.  The side dishes provided by the residents were excellent.  Don’t forget the Men’s Club will be sponsoring our January Pitch-In Dinner on Saturday, January 28th at 6 p.m.  A sign-up sheet will be posted in the hall.  Make plans to attend.  Please note that this is a change from 5:00 p.m. which was the old time.

SHAREHOLDER’S ANNUAL MEETING

The Annual Meeting of the Whispering Creek Co-Op Shareholders will be Wednesday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the Rec. Hall.  This is the annual election meeting also.

ACTIVITY COMMITTEE MEETING

There will be an Activity Committee meeting on Wednesday, January 4th at 10 a.m.  All are invited to attend.  We need your thoughts and input on what you would like this season.

SOUP AND SALAD DINNER

On Saturday, January 14th at 6:00 p.m. there will be a soup and salad dinner in the Rec. Hall.  There will be a sign-up sheet in the hall for residents to make soup, salads, desserts and bread.

MEN’S CLUB

The Men’s Club will meet in the Rec. Hall on Wednesday, January 18th at 9:00 a.m.  All men are asked to attend.  This is a very important meeting as the club is looking for a new President.

SUNDAE SUNDAY

Bring your own banana and join your friends and neighbors for another Sundae Sunday on January 22nd from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

50% FUN BINGO

On Wednesday, January 25th at 2:00p.m., we will have a 50% fun bingo.  This is sponsored by the Activities Committee.  We will be using the 3 number cards that we used last season for our Meato Bingo.  It will be 25 cents a card and the prize will be 50% of what is taken in on that play.  So if we take in $10.00 on a play, the prize will be $5.00.

NEW YEAR’S EVE DANCE

Our annual New Year’s Eve Dance will be held on Friday, December 31st, from 8p.m. until 1a.m. in the Rec. Hall.  This is a BYOB event.  Put on your dancing shoes and join your neighbors and friends for a fun time!!  This year we are charging $3.00 per person at the door.

SMOKEY MOUNTAIN GOSPEL GROUP

On Tuesday, January 10th at 2 p.m. the Smokey Mountain Gospel Group will be performing in the Rec. Hall.  They were outstanding last year.  Come out and hear some great music.

 

 

CRIME WATCH

Crime Watch will meet on Monday, January 9th at 10 a.m.  This is an important meeting for all residents.
